A few weeks ago, December 10 to be exact, my friend Susan posted this link to Facebook and it showed up in my newsfeed:
Kiandra, unsure of what she wanted to do in the coming term, was looking for direction for what she should do next. As I searched up the information for the position I knew I had to at least tell Kiandra about it because she would be absolutely perfect for it...
She immediately thought it would be a great opportunity to (at least) look into. So she emailed for more information. A few emails went back and forth and then on December 17th she got a call to ask her for some additional information:
Two days later on December 19 she had another call:
On December 22 she skyped the family at 6:00am our time and 1:00pm their time. She let me sit in on the call too:
On December 29, my prompt for instagam was "from this moment". I posted "That moment when you realize that your kids are growing up too fast and you just never know what the future will hold for them. #bigplansahead #staytuned #wewillknowsoon #whathaveIdone"
On December 30, we got all the required documentation that they required for her official application for the job.
On December 31, she filled out all the required forms, requested the personal and babysitting references that they asked for and sent it all in.
Today, Kiandra got her official approval to serve as a nanny in France. She will be helping a church planting family transition from a family of 4 to a family of 6 with a set of newborn twins. The church planting team that this family is a part of includes a member from our church and the father of the family Kiandra will be nannying for is actually originally from our Province. Timing, opportunity, and peace about this decision leads me to believe that this is exactly where God wants Kiandra to be right now. It's hard to imagine that she's going to be leaving at the end of this month...
