Today was all about Kezia

Kezia will often complain about being the middle child. She says we talk more about Kiandra and Kaden than we do about her. Today, though, was undoubtably all about her!

First it was all about her when we drove off to the final soccer game of the outdoor season. They have had an unbelievable playoff season being undefeated until last week's 2-0 loss. Today was the city finals against the same team. The Party Rockers were more confident because they had their entire team (unlike last week when 4 of the girls were at ringette try-outs!) and they were ready. This was Kezia's 3rd or 4th time of making it to the finals, only to lose and finish in second place. Today, the story repeated itself...they lost 3-1. :( The most disappointing thing was that Conrad was able to sneak away today (He NEVER gets to do that on a Saturday!) and he didn't even get to see her team win. My aunt and my mom were also able to come to the game and were disappointed that they could not see a victory for Kezia's team.
But she did get a medal...
and a plaque. It was a disappointing loss but their team has really improved this season and they have so much to be proud of.
Kezia gets a few weeks off before the indoor soccer season begins. Check out these indoor soccer shoes she picked out with Conrad after today's game:

This evening was a fundraising dinner for her Quebec trip. It was a delicious supper and Kezia enjoyed being an only child fro the evening.

Check out the yummy-ness! It was delicious.
Just another busy Saturday...

PS.... Today is the first day of Blogtober where you challenge yourself to post every day in October. I first did Blogtober last year and I enjoyed it so much that I accepted another challenge like it in January. That daily posting schedule inspired me to take the time to record the details of the heres and nows of our family's life for a whole year so that one day I can look back and remember the things I don't want to forget. I challenge you to accept the Blogtober challenge and record the heres and nows of your life.
